PROGRAM DESCRIPTION (face-to-face delivery):
This half-day professional development program is purpose built for teachers to complete before bringing your students into the Tech School.
In the face-to-face version, you will learn the techniques of rapid fire problem-solving using the same model of Design Thinking used in our student programs. Working in teams, you will research a topic and identify a user scenario before digging deeper to define the problem, generate ideas and prototype solutions. Throughout the PD, metacognitive processes will be unpacked to show how the structure of this creative collaborative process enables or limits thinking.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION (online delivery):
This 1.5 hr professional development program is designed to give teachers experience and understanding in Design Thinking so that they can begin experimenting with it in their own classrooms.
In the 1hr online version (+0.5hr follow up work), you will learn the techniques of rapid fire problem-solving using the same model of Design Thinking used in our student programs. Working in pairs you will empathise with your partner (your user) to define the problem, generate ideas and prototype solutions.
