About this event

The Bendigo Tech School Student Ambassadors would like to invite you to celebrate the launch of their new exhibition “Bendigo 2040 at the Discovery Science and Technology Centre!

“Bendigo 2040” is a groundbreaking project that showcases a vision for a sustainable future for the city of Bendigo, featuring a large-scale 3D printed model of the Pall Mall CBD, enhanced with augmented reality overlays to portray our vision of a sustainable future Bendigo in the year 2040.

Visitors can explore augmented reality experiences and immersive storytelling to learn about sustainable development and the role technology can play in creating a better future for our city. "Bendigo 2040" is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the City of Greater Bendigo Circular economy strategy.

The exhibition has been developed by Bendigo Tech School Student Ambassadors from Bendigo Senior Secondary College, Catherine McAuley College, Creek Street Christian College, Marist College Bendigo and Victory Christian College. The Student Ambassadors have worked with staff at the Bendigo Tech School, Discovery Centre and DreemAR throughout the project.

The “Bendigo 2040” exhibition will be on display at the Discovery Science and Technology Centre (7 Railway Place, Bendigo) from May 14th, 2024.
