To enhance teachers' competence in delivering the Digital Technologies Curriculum, Bendigo Tech School in partnership with the Australian Computer Society will host a series of professional development events throughout 2024.
These events include a full-day workshop in Term 1 covering the aims and rationale of the Victorian Digital Technologies Curriculum for primary and secondary school teachers. Participants will develop yearly planners, scope and sequences and units of work in preparation for 2024.
Additionally, there will be other events in Terms 2 to 4, such as afternoon sessions and targeted professional development, focusing on different curriculum themes based on teacher feedback from the term 1 session.
The sessions will be led by Catherine Newington from the Australian Computer Society, who will provide support for newcomers to teaching the Digital Technologies Curriculum.
