To enhance primary and secondary teachers' competence in delivering the Digital Technologies Curriculum, Bendigo Tech School in partnership with the Australian Computer Society will host a series of professional development events throughout 2024.
This full-day workshop will recap the three ways of thinking in the Digital Technologies curriculum, as well as a series of hands-on sessions dedicated to unpacking and creating STEAM based learning opportunities within the curriculum.
Additionally, there will be other events in Terms 3 and 4, focusing on different curriculum themes based on teacher feedback from the terms 1 and 2 sessions.
The sessions will be led by Catherine Newington from the Australian Computer Society and Ember Chittenden from Bendigo Tech School, who will provide support for newcomers to teaching the Digital Technologies Curriculum.
