Last week, we were thrilled to host a dynamic cohort of Year 8 students from Eaglehawk Secondary College for a Women in STEM workshop delivered in partnership with the HEX Highway to STEM program, powered by the Toyota Community Trust.

Led by Frances Goh (Entrepreneur in Residence) and Kimberley Hanson (Learning Experience Designer & Multimedia Producer), students took part in a high-energy mini-hackathon where they tackled real-world challenges inspired bythe United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Throughout the day, the group showed great creative problem-solving, teamwork and entrepreneurship skills, all while breaking down common misconceptions about STEM pathways. The workshop empowered students to see themselves as innovators and leaders, opening their eyes to the diverse and exciting futures available in STEM.

This experience is a fantastic example of how education and industry can come together to inspire young women, strengthen the future of STEM, and foster the skills and confidence needed to shape the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.
