Alternative Energies

Enquire Now
Working in groups students are tasked with exploring renewable energy, designing and modelling an alternative energy solution using advanced manufacturing techniques and testing for efficiency.

Imagine the Bendigo you’d like to see in the future. Capitalise on opportunities and mitigate against challenges with renewable energy technologies through 3D printing and lasercutting technology.

Starting with examples of different renewable energies and their own ideas for the future of Bendigo, students get hands-on testing an array of devices that transform and transfer energy (using the scientific method). Through the Design Thinking Process, groups research and decide on a potential future energy problem to address. The students create solutions leveraging innovations in renewable energy and energy efficiency related technologies.
