Utilising the skills learnt in 'Enrich' program experiences, students are given a project brief which requires them to solve a real world problem. This might include improving or developing a new product or service. The project is designed to stretch and challenge students, giving them an opportunity to develop Design Thinking Process and technological skillsets.
Pathways to University Panel and Aviation Experience:
To celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in STEM, RMIT University, University of Adelaide and University of Technology Sydney are hosting an online Q&A panel on Tuesday 11 February 2025, 1pm - 2pm, online plus Term 1 Flight School excursion. This celebration will connect secondary school students from across Australia, involving interesting discussions with STEM professionals and students from each university who are all in various stages of their career journeys. Whether it be starting university, completing a postgraduate degree, or kicking off their early career, we hope to provide your students with an opportunity to learn about future pathways in STEM from a range of perspectives. Bendigo Tech School is excited to partner with RMIT University to continue the conversations and connection to Women in STEM role models with the option of a follow-up excursion during Term 1 to the RMIT Bendigo Flight School. Allied Health ‘Come and Try’ Day:
Term 3 - In partnership with the Goldfields Local Learning and Employment Network (Goldfields LLEN), Bendigo Health Hospital, Bendigo TAFE and the Rural Workforce Agency Victoria (RWAV) the Bendigo Tech School will be hosting the 2025 Allied Health ‘Come & Try Day’ for Years 9 & 10 students interested in exploring careers within the health industry, including education pathways and opportunities. The event offers a unique hands on immersive experience that builds student knowledge through a series of hands-on workshops, industry panel discussions and opportunities for students to speak directly with local clinicians.
Creative Industries Immersion Day:
Term 2 - In partnership with the Goldfields Local Learning and Employment Network (Goldfields LLEN) and local Creative Industry partners, this immersive experience has been designed to ignite the creative passions of students and to provide them with an opportunity to explore career and education pathways to the arts by directly connecting them with local professionals. Students in Years 8 to 10 will take part in interactive workshops and presentations led by industry professionals. Folio Preparation for VCE students in the Arts will be available in term 4, 2025 as an opt in program for VCE students.
Year 10 Student Work Experience Program:
Students are invited to participate in a purposefully designed, multi-day work experience program that blends classroom learning with industry engagement to develop critical thinking, problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills whilst gaining much sought-after career knowledge. This program has been co-designed with the La Trobe Business School and industry partners.
